The whole exchange fits on a phone and works without signal. It takes about as long as the loading itself. Your technician does it standing at the open tailgate, then drives on.

Pick the project. Pick the machines. Confirm. Krahasso records who handed them over and when. The machines change state and appear on the project and the map from then on. From there, the scheduler plans only with what is in the warehouse.
The number gets checked. While the machine is still there.
Reading at handover. Reading on return. Krahasso checks against the last known value and flags what cannot be right. That is the moment somebody is still standing in front of the machine. So the consumption you bill for adds up.
Return works the same way. Just backwards.
Take several machines back in one pass and record their closing readings. Then set the state: available again, or out for repair. The project keeps its full history, and the report reads straight off it.
